Lucky me. I got a ticket from one of my favorite Portuguese friend who wasn’t able to go to the concert with her friends only some hours before the event. With a delay of maybe 20 minutes and the amazing support of the production manager we entered the COLISEU. A bouncer lighted us the way through the concert hall to our places in the front rows.

The charming and beautiful singer Mayra Andrade was explaining her intention of the following song “Tunuca”. In Portugal she is pretty famous, no doubt it’s because she does great music. Her songs are mostly in Portuguese because of her roots from the Cape Verde, a former colony. She reminded me a bit of Norah Jones, but more with African influence. Together with guest singer like Sara Taveres (photo) or Pedro Moutinho she showed a wide range of sounds. The Acoustic inside the concert hall of COLLISEU is magnificent, so the magic of her voice could spread easily to the audience. In the end I was totally satisfied and happy about the coincident that I got to the COLISEU!
