To Aveiro I traveled four times during my Erasmus experience. Twice in the beginning of September, once in October and once at the end of February. The first two times we didn't really checked out the town but went to the PRAIA DA COSTA NOVA, a endless beautiful beach with fine sand and long breakwaters far into the atlantic ocean. You can find there old fellows talking about life and enjoying the sound of the sea and the sun.

You can also find a lot of nice beach-bars at the beach and sometimes they provide also cocktails, coffees and snacks, depending of the time you travel through Portugal. It's a enjoyable place to go to a beach and do sunbathing and sometimes to cool down in the ocean. But watch out that you don't loose your bikini top in the waves.
The city itself is called the portuguese Venice (Italy) because of its' network of canals and boats that cross through the city. And in that city you have to go to a restaurant called SALPOENTE. It's quite expensive and fancy but the food you get there is unbelievable delicious... it will be around 30€ per person including a starter, main dish and dessert and a bottle of wine.
